Swim Class

Grace and Joey both started Swim Class last night. Grace is a Seahorse and Joey is a Minnow. Joey needs the water readiness and wears four bubbles currently, one in the front and three in the back. Joe went in the water with him last night and Grace and I sat poolside to watch. He did awesome! I was concerned when they brought out the foam ended barbells, Joey looked panic stricken but he did ok with those, while not his favorite he gave it a whirl for a second! Grace's class wears anywhere from 3-1 bubbles, she's wearing 2 bubbles to start, at Mom's advise. I think she ended the Lobster class at 1 bubble, but it's been an entire year and I'd prefer to start out safer with the 2 bubbles. They swim the length of the pool over and over again learning new things about how to swim. They jump in as well and then continue to swim. The goal in Joey's class is to phase the parents out of the pool eventually in order to get the kids ready for the without parent classes that are offered next and in Grace's class the goal is to de-bubble the kids (the instructor's words, not mine :) LOL) Both kids did a great job. So as a reward we hit Pizza Hut on the way home and then headed to bed after the nightly duties were done on my end of course! Oh and we caught a glimpse of Dancing with the Stars and Grace is hoping the Jonas Brothers open the show tonight so she can see it as bedtime is between 8-8:30pm. (I push for 8pm and it usually happens now that school has started but if the Jo Bros are on 8:30pm might be ok!
